Mandatory Production Specs in SPACE – Effective 1st July 2025

Date:

Starting 1st July 2025, production specifications will be mandatory when uploading or updating inventory—via both the website and API.

What’s Changing? Production specs will be required when creating or editing frames in SPACE.

Via Website or Import Template To add a new spec:

Go to Admin > Production and Creative Specification Click ‘Add new’, complete the form, and submit The spec will be available when editing/creating a frame—just start typing its name in the ‘Production/Creative Spec’ field To attach an existing spec to a frame:

When editing/adding a frame, type the spec name in the 'Production/Creative Spec' field and select it from the suggestion Click ‘Submit’ once all other fields have been populated Specs can be 1-to-1 or 1-to-many frames. Please attach accordingly.

Via API POST frame calls will now require a production spec ID API documentation now includes: Adding a new spec (POST production-spec) Attaching a spec or exemption reason (POST/PUT frame)

Exemptions If a spec isn’t applicable (e.g., ambient or bespoke frames), a clear exemption reason must be provided in the 'Unable to provide a Production Specification' field. Submissions without a valid spec or exemption will be rejected.

New Data Checks To support this change, we’ve added checks for:

Missing specs Frames with specs (advisory) Dimension conflicts Exemption reasons (coming soon) View these on the Data Checks page.

We recommend reviewing and updating your workflows to ensure a smooth transition.
